Adam Last, PE, LSP

Mr. Last is the Principal Engineer and Regional Manager for Corporate Environmental Advisors environmental consulting practice.  He provides environmental engineering services to private and public sector clients and has worked in the environmental consulting field since 1991.

Mr. Last has extensive experience performing environmental consulting services, environmental site assessments, landfill compliance services, risk characterizations, evaluating remedial alternatives, and remediating sites.  His experience includes environmental consulting services at a wide variety of properties including superfund sites, brownfields sites, landfills, dry cleaners, industrial facilities, bulk petroleum terminals, rifle and skeet trap shooting ranges, rail yards, scrap metal yards, hospitals, prisons, incinerators, highway depots, gas stations, and residential properties.  Contaminants encountered during these activities include petroleum (gasoline, diesel, kerosene, fuel oils, cutting oils), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, barium, cadmium), polychlorinated byphenyls (PCBs) and chlorinated solvents.

Throughout his career, he has developed an in-depth knowledge of the risk characterization process and has successfully managed and completed Method 1, 2 and 3 Risk Characterizations at sites involving a variety of contaminants and contaminated media (soil, groundwater, indoor air, surface water, and sediment).

As the Principal Engineer, Mr. Last supervises and directs the successful completion of all phases (Phases I through V) of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan process; all methods of human health and environmental risk characterization (Methods 1, 2 and 3); remedial action alternative evaluations; and site remediation at over 50 tier classified disposal sites. He provides regulatory and technical direction during all assessment and response actions to ensure compliance with the MCP Response Action Performance Standards, supporting regulations, guidance and regulatory deadlines.
