I’ve been working with CEA since 2001. Throughout that time, they have provided consistent and reliable expertise and guidance in all areas of site management – investigation, remediation, risk assessment, regulatory interaction, and legal support in all of the New England states. CEA’s expertise makes my job easier.

I’ve used CEA for environmental due diligence on real estate for many years. The transition to the new ownership in 2016 was seamless. For starters, CEA’s prices remain competitive and they consistently deliver results on a timely basis, however, it is beyond cost and delivery where the true value of the company becomes apparent. CEA’s recommendations and guidance are comprehensive and I know I can always speak with an expert that can provide me with expert guidance and additional assistance if needed.

Our Associates
In June of 2018 CEA acquired StoneHill Environmental (StoneHill) a well-regarded multi-disciplinary environmental consulting firm, located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Tim Stone, StoneHill’s President and Founder, started the firm 29 years ago, and StoneHill has become a fixture in the New Hampshire, Maine and Eastern Massachusetts markets. StoneHill has become well known for technical excellence and pragmatism. Although Tim plans to make more time for his family and new sailboat, he will be staying on at StoneHill to assist with the transition and continue to provide leadership. CEA now has a regional footprint including offices in Westborough, MA, Portsmouth, NH and Portland, Maine, with over 25 professionals that comprise the team. With this acquisition, CEA now has five LSP’s on staff, PG’s in NH and ME and PE’s throughout the six New England States.
In March of 2019 CEA completed a full acquisition of Green Environment Inc. (GEI) of San Carlos, California. GEI was founded in 1991 by Mark Green, and Ellen Ackerman, Principal, joined GEI in 2000. GEI has established a strong reputation in the San Francisco Bay Area for providing valuable consulting services for environmentally impacted properties, and environmental, health and safety permitting and compliance services mainly for hi-tech and biotech firms. Both Mark and Ellen, will stay with GEI to assist with the business transition and continue to provide consulting services, and all other current GEI employees will also remain with GEI.
